CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Way, way back in the third inning Friday night at Boshamer Stadium, Miami looked like it was cruising toward its first road series win of the year, leading North Carolina 6-0 in the second game of the series.

About a hundred wild momentum shifts later, the Hurricanes did close out the series win, but it sure did not come easy. Of course it didn’t — this series was destined to be a white-knuckle thrill ride between two evenly matched clubs that both refused to go down quietly.
