ColumnsHOUSTON — Baylor coach Steve Rodriguez couldn’t be more pleased with where his team is after the Shriners College Classic, especially considering where they were after Opening Weekend.
The Bears entered the 2022 campaign as a projected regional team. But as they say, the Bears got punched in the teeth a little bit Opening Weekend by way of a high-quality Maryland club. The Terps and Nick Dean silenced BU’s offense in the season opener, and the Bears didn’t pay a particularly good brand of baseball the rest of the weekend. They went 0-3 against the Terps.
