BERKELEY, Calif. — What an interesting day this Thursday before Easter was in the national scene. Picking up where last weekend left off there seemed to be lots of surprises from across the country.

I was able to catch a flight and make it up to Berkeley for one of the better showdowns of the day as Cal hosted Oregon State in a Pac-12 opener from Evans Diamond.
