Underdog Of The Week: BYU

There are some interpretations where using the term “Underdog” might be considered a back-handed compliment. Or as a buddy of mine calls it, a “compli-sult.” Part compliment and part insult. 

But when I brought the fact up to BYU head coach Mike Littlewood that I was making his team the “Underdog of the Week” for it’s the series sweep at Arizona State, he thought that was spot-on. 

“That’s probably a good title for us right now,” he said. “We like that underdog mentality, I think it fits us perfectly.” 

The Cougars actually started the week in Florida by knocking off Ohio State 9-6[…]
