Five Questions With UCLA’s John Savage

Injuries really torpedoed your season last year, but it seems like you have a much deeper roster heading into 2015. Do you feel good about your position-player depth?

We have talented outfielders that are primed for big years with (Kort) Peterson, (Ty) Moore, (Christoph) Bono and (Brett) Stephens. Luke Persico will be playing first, I like him at first. We’ve got (Nick) Valaika and (Trent) Chatterton at second, then (Chris) Keck and (Sean) Bouchard at third. Behind the plate it’s Darrell Miller and Justin Hazard. Our biggest question mark is catching, that’s a question mark.
