Midwest Connection: Battle-tested Huskers never say die

The beginning of the 2024 season started eerily similar for Nebraska to what it did a year ago. In 2023 the Huskers opened at San Diego and lost, and tied, four winnable games to get off to a 0-3-1 start. This year, after opening the season with a 4-1 win against Baylor at Globe Life Field, they lost to Texas Tech after the Red Raiders scored three runs in the top of the ninth one day before Oklahoma walked them off with a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth.
