Bianco, Rebels Make Unlikely Trip to Omaha
PostseasonHATTIESBURG, Miss — On May 1st, the Ole Miss squad left Fayetteville at 7-14 in SEC play. The buzzards were circling, and many felt Mike Bianco’s 22nd year as the Ole Miss head coach was a good place to call it quits.
His team, however, didn’t quit at all. The Rebels swept their next two series and returned to the postseason picture. Despite losing their final series and their SEC Tournament play-in game, the Rebels received one of the final at-large bids.
