No out-spout from the SEC boo-birds cuz they’re not hosting more than six?

SEC does not expect to host more than 6. But don’t be surprised when more than 6 move on to Supers. I like the look of this field actually. Some West coast teams a mid west team. An ECU and La Tech host. Looks good to me.

Happy to see Tulane included. Nice couple week stretch for them, Please place them in the STARKVILLE region though. There is a score to be settled there. 😉 Ole Miss is great. Been there, done that. It would be great to finish what we started at the beginning of the season.

With the way State is hitting and pitching right now, I doubt Tulane could keep it within 5.

Tulane’s lineup has improved a great deal since then as well. The freshman are being allowed to play and boy they can hit.

Enjoyed the State-Tulane series earlier this year and I’m sure both teams have improved.

But, if you make it back to Starkvegas for a Regional, it’ll be a totally different atmosphere…unless the NCAA decides to reduce the number of fans currently being allowed in the New Dude.

It was wild this past weekend…with attendance at nearly 35,000.

pretty sure that I read earlier today that the NCAA is expected to mandate 50% capacity at Regionals. Still, 17,000+ at Dudy Noble will still be insane…

As an avid baseball fan and Alumni of MSU and Tulane, I’d rather them face Ole Miss. I’m always interested in doubling my chances to see Ole Miss (and LSU) lose! 🙂

I Do like Jackson State in Starkville, but that’s my favorite HBCU, so I’m a sucker for seeing them when I can.

Also, In fairness to the Green Wave, State can’t accuse a pitcher of cheating and expect kisses, roses, and chocolates from the visiting team.

Guessing Louisville is low 1 seed due to RPI issue in ACC?

RPI issue? They have 11 losses and are ranked too high. By end of May they will be likely not in top 16.

That’s fair, they do have some unexpected midweek loses….just odd to see same site have a team ranked 7 and yet project being 15 seed in tourney. ACC in general has created an rpi problem by playing very few non-conference games (and racking up more W’s) by starting league play in week 2. Don’t typically see an ACC team near the top of standings with rpi of 50+.

The RPI has always been broken in college baseball, but this season more than most. The ACC is a particular victim this year with the lack of non-conference games with shortened schedules of fewer overall games but still increased conference games (up from 30 to 36). Playing only each other makes little room for upping the overall RPI.

Louisville keeps winning weekend after weekend despite having half their pitching staff on the DL thanks to arguably the best offense in the country, so it’s more than understandable that they are still ranked high.

Tell me about the ACC’s shortened schedules. What was the decision handed down? I see they are playing non-con games so what gives?

I agree that shortened schedules hurt RPI, SEE: Big Ten. Zero non-con games, expanded league play, 44 total games. RPIs suck over here.

Michigan would win the South Bend regional. Oregon State would win the TCU regional and Florida would win the Stanford regional.

OSU has the best team ERA in all power 5 schools. Decent team bating avg. I will take their chances as pretty good right now.Laugh all you want. How many Championships does TCU hold? Zero? OSU holds 3 and has been to the CWS 5 times since 2005. Looking forward to that matchup

TCU has ALSO been to the CWS 5 times…. since 2010. So as to who has been the more dominant program in the last TEN years? That would go to TCU. Either way, not sure why we are involving team accomplishments form 15 years ago when we are talking about 2021 squads. TCU currently holds the # 3 RPI. That ranking is not calculated by a bunch of people in Fort Worth. You’d be hard pressed to find any reputable college baseball follower to agree w/OSU over TCU.

Bottom Line…Beavs Three rings…Horny Frogs none…Play it out on the field…Looking at Horny Frogs schedule I See you lost to a Good Gonzaga team twice…The Beavs also lost to the Zags…So don’t go spouting about your RPI…Games are won on the field…GO Beavs!!!!

Again, your rings have zero to do w/2021 Oregon state vs TCU. Good luck to you guys the rest of the season, but there is a reason TCU is the projected # 3 national seed and OSU is a projected 2 seed in a national seeds regional… and again, I’m not the one coming up w/these projections.

Beavers over TCU at TCU is a bold prediction. Beavs just don’t seem to have the “it” this year… been several winnable games and just didn’t get it done. Can They find the IT?… we will see. I admit to not seeing TCU play this year but there resume is solid and they should be able to cruise to B12 title as UT schedule becomes brutal. Pac is far from decided so all this speculation is just speculation. See projections of OSU from 2nd to 6th which seems about right to me. And boys 2005 (6 trips btw) to 2018 has absolutely nothing to do with this years season so yall can zip up! lol. TCU not making a final has meant they are flying under the radar as an elite program for sure.

TCU is 3 games up on TTU in conference and has the bottom of the conference remaining on their schedule plus UT at home. UT and TCU are tied for the lead in conference at 10-2 and UT has the top 4 teams in the conference left on their schedule. Plus TCU RPI is ahead of both UT and TTU.

When you learn how to play baseball in order to win, then you can say all you like.
‘It’s because of feelings like yours, that baseball, in general, no longer sees winning a baseball game of any importance. Thankfully, we at UCLA, have NOT adopted that mind set.
Hopefully, you will be able to host our “sissy” team and we can listen to all of you cry that we bunted, stole bases, sacrificed our way to victory. Therefore, it should not really count as a win.

We went through this in 2013 when we won a Natty.
The SEC people wanted the fences moved in at T.D. Ameritrade in Omaha, because it was unfair that their hitters could not hit their home runs. Ridiculous.
So we will hope to see you Nashville.

Another dumb post by west coast homer. Now that you crushed Vandy/Kumar 3-2 in LA last year you look forward to a rematch in Nashville??? Well, if UCLA really did end up in Nashville as a #3 seed, which is highly improbable, they could only meet up in the second game, which means Jack Leiter not Kumar. Good luck with that. BTW belated congrats to the #1 seed and the entire PAC for their performance in the last playoffs.
