Cambria Classic: Ebert’s Day One Notebook

MINNEAPOLIS – Inside the cozy confines of US Bank Stadium a baseball game broke out on a football field between No. 8 Vanderbilt and Nebraska as part of the Cambria College Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota. In what started as a pitcher’s duel between lefthanders Carter Holton and Emmett Olson ended as a 5-3 win for the Huskers.

With Vanderbilt holding a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring all three of their runs on solo home runs, Nebraska was able to tie the game, 3-3, by the end of the inning. Holton was removed[…]
