Rogers: Texas A&M Parts Ways With Childress; Will Court Big Names
Coaches CornerTexas A&M has parted ways with long-time head coach Rob Childress.
The decision by A&M athletic director Ross Bjork to not renew Childress’ contract comes as no surprise after the Aggies finished the regular season with a 29-27 (9-21 SEC) record and failed to reach the SEC tournament for the first time in his career.
Though Childress’ tenure with the Aggies ends without a trip to the postseason in his final season, his career was a success.
