2023 Fall Report: Michigan

In his first year back in the Big Ten, Tracy Smith inherited a heavily turned over roster and navigated the Wolverines through an up and down season. Michigan finished 28-28 overall, placing sixth in the Big Ten with a 13-11 conference record and then had some moderate success in the Big Ten tournament. 

For the encore, the skipper feels good about his position player group, but recognizes there’s some uncertainty with a talented, but mostly untested pitching staff. 

“I think from a position player, offensive, defensive lineup, this is a Top 25 position player team; it really is,” Smith said.[…]
