2020 SoCon Preview: Teams Chasing Samford/Mercer

The Southern Conference has improved atop the league standings the past few seasons.

Samford and Mercer have traded spots as the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament the past two seasons. Well, the two intriguing programs are once again expected to be solid in 2020 with Samford getting the edge over Mercer. ETSU, Wofford and UNC Greensboro also are within striking distance, with UNCG ushering in a new era after losing long-time head coach Link Jarrett to Notre Dame.
