Fall Report 2023: UC Santa Barbara
Fall ReportSANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos did not finish the 2023 season the way they wanted, but they do have two very valuable things going for them into 2024. Number one, they’ve got a pissed-off mentality to make amends for that end of season swoon and get back on track this season. And number two, they’ve got an experienced and talented pitching staff to lead them. And if you know anything about head coach Andrew Checketts, anytime there is a lot of experience returning to the mound, that usually means bad news for their hapless opponents.
