When the Owls parted ways with former head coach Matt Bragga, several names were in the mix for the opening. Texas assistant Sean Allen was a finalist and others received a strong look. But in the end, the Owls went with someone who had the credentials and had a very firm grasp on what the program needs to do to be successful, and perhaps most importantly, what the program hadn’t done in previous seasons.
