2022 Fall Report: Virginia Tech

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Virginia Tech is coming off of the best season in modern program history. It went 45-14 overall, had the best regular-season record in the ACC at 19-9, hosted and won a regional in Blacksburg, and hosted a super regional at home, where the Hokies were eliminated in a deciding third game by eventual national runner-up Oklahoma. 

As a result, for the first time in a long time, and perhaps for the first time ever, Virginia Tech will go into a new season with significant outside expectations, but that hasn’t been a focus this fall.
