Red-Tail Rajcic Helps Bruins Even Key Non-Conference Series
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — A red-tailed hawk flew over Caesar Uyesaka Stadium Saturday afternoon before settling atop the bank of lights behind the UCLA dugout. Max Rajcic simultaneously jogged in from the UCLA bullpen and settled atop the mound. Both predators were ready to show their strength and beauty.
Rajcic’s strength was the longest outing of his young career. The true freshman righthander displayed his plumage in the form of a 90-93 fastball, that touched 94, on both sides of the plate and a nasty table-dropping curveball that was 80-82 mph.
