AUBURN, Ala. — Butch Thompson summed up the unique challenge posed by the pandemic upon college baseball programs in his characteristically insightful and eloquent manner: “This is the ultimate test of not necessarily your talent, but your culture,” the Auburn coach said. “This is probably the least amount of time I’ve ever spent with a team, even though we did get a full fall in.
