Fall Report: UC Santa Barbara

Going into the 2020 season, it looked like the MVP of UCSB Gaucho baseball was going to be Michelle Checketts. 

Why the wife of head coach Andrew Checketts? Because going into last season, the Gauchos had just three starters back in the field and two pitchers of note; one a starter and one a reliever. In other words, it clearly looked like a rebuilding season for the boys up the Pacific Coast Highway.
