Fall ReportBEND, Ore. — The story of the 2022 Gonzaga baseball season will forever be linked to the tragic death of longtime associate head coach Danny Evans to melanoma at the age of 41, and the way the Bulldogs rallied around Evans’ memory en route to one of the best seasons in program history. Ultimately, the roster that Evans helped assemble as recruiting coordinator proved talented enough and mentally tough enough to persevere through tragedy and find a way back to regionals for the fourth time in the last six completed seasons.
