Fitt Bits: Notes from Big East, American
Here are some observations from two Big East teams (Georgetown and Seton Hall) along with two American Athletic Conference teams (Memphis and UAB) that I saw in my fall travels. None of these four teams has made a regional in the last decade, but Seton Hall is a regular contender in the Big East, and the other three programs have relatively new head coaches and appear to be building some momentum — particularly the Hoyas, which have posted back-to-back winning seasons under third-year head coach Edwin Thompson.
