WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — For the second straight season, 2021 was supposed to be The Year for Wake Forest. After their 2017 super regional run, the Demon Deacons spent a couple of years building with an eye on 2020, when they were both talented and experienced — but they got off to a slow start and then the season was canceled.
