College Park: No More Mr. Nice Guy, Pat Gallagher Pitches UConn to Regional Final

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Connecticut is one win away from its second-ever super regional after defeating Maryland, 10-5, in front of a sold-out crowd of 3,000 Saturday night at Bob ‘Turtle’ Smith Stadium. The victory secured a place in the regional final for the Huskies where they await a rematch with the winner of a Sunday afternoon Wake Forest-Maryland elimination game. 

UConn put both teams in the loser’s bracket of the College Park Regional with the combination of timely hitting, a couple of big blasts and pitching psychology.
